Adriana Perusin
Founder and Executive Director

Public Relations with specialization in Program Management and International Technical Cooperation for Development. During her career Adriana worked on several projects in partnership with international foundations, Multilateral and Bilateral Development Agencies. Passionate about education as a tool for social transformation,

she founded IASEA in 2009.

Leriana Figueiredo
Director of Online Courses

Graduate in Social Science, with Masters on Environmental Managment and Doctorate in Sociology & Rights, Leriana coordinates Youth Empowerment and Violence Prevention Programs. During her career, she acumulated vast experience as a Researcher, Articulator and Organizational Manager in Institutional and Governmental Programs.

Mariane Fornari
Coordinator of the Socioemotional Program

Social Scientist with MBA in Public Management, Specialized in Neuroscience and Behaviour, and Master Coach through the Latin American Coaching Society. Experience in the coordination of multiple youth and adult formation programs in Brazil and Cape Town's communities. Mariane coordinated the "Na Responsa" Program, a network formed by 30 ONGs in 4 brazillian states.

Grazi Giacomo
Coordinator of the Socioenvironmental Program

Graduated in Biological Sciences, with an MBA in Museum Management. Educador and Research & Conservation Project Manager, coordinates integrated conservation program, sustainability, environmental education, museological communication and scientific divulgation. With multiple published works, Grazi has extensive experience in biological sciences teaching for children and teenagers.

Pedro Alegria
Program Supervisor

Clinical psychologist trained at the University of São Caetano do Sul (USCS) in São Paulo. Along with his Bachelor's Degree, Pedro also has a background in performing arts at the Escola Atemporal de Artes de Ribeirão Pires, which works with several expressive languages with a focus on social and collective development.

Julia Fleischeuer
Games Supervisor

Writer, graduated through Vancouver Film School in Creative Writing for Games. With an early interest in zoology, Julia became an intern at only 16 in the Zoology Museum of USP - São Paulo, then Rotterdam's Natural History Museum at 17.  Today, she creates games focused on the Preservation of our Biodiversity and Sustainable Development.

Marcello Quintela
President of Marapendi Vela

Marapendi Sail is one of the most accredited sailing school in Rio de Janeiro, with courses in Lagoa de Marapendi and ocean instruction cruises along the brazillian coast. Passionate about sailing since he was only 7, Marcello coordinates courses, participates in boat races and promotes ocean crossings with Marapendi's team.

Adriana Perusin
Executive Director

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Adriana dedicated her professional life to the development, implementation and evaluation of cross-sector alliance projects focused on Education, Youth Empowerment, Community Development and Public Security. In strategic partnership with Governments, Corporations, Non-Profit Organizations and Development Agencies as UNESCO, UNDP, DFID, ICCO and MINBUZA, she worked on the executive team of multi-year programs. In 2009, she founded IASEA. The institute has had a successful trajectory in Brazil, operating in 5 Brazilian states in partnership with Public Schools, and State and Municipal Education Departments. In 2021, Adriana founded IASEA YOUTH CONNECTIONS in Canada, aiming to scale the institute's programs internationally. IASEA YOUTH CONNECTIONS is a Canadian purpose-driven company focused on Innovation and Social Impact. Its main mission is to actively participate in the process of modernization of Education, creating educational programs that combine knowledge, inspiration, action and fun.

Leriana Figueiredo

Executive Manager, coordinates programs in organizations that promote Youth Empowerment through Education and Sports. Leriana is a specialist in the development, monitoring and improvement of social projects and administrative processes. Senior Researcher, with several works published on Social Policy and Public Security, she has accumulated a lot of experience in the articulation of strategic partnerships in the production of Intersectoral and Institutional Actions for Development. She was a member of the National Sports Council and of the Security Council of FIRJAN. She is currently a member of the State Youth Council and of the Sports Network for Social Change. In the governmental sphere, she was the Prevention Superintendent of the Rio de Janeiro State Security Secretariat.

Mariane Fornari

Social Scientist, graduated from Unesp, Mariane was co-director and professor of the Postgraduate Learning Management course at Braz Cubas Education, impacting 200 teachers and more than 100 thousand students from the public school system. Mentor and teaching assistant in the subject Social Business 2019, at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation. Experience in several projects with the training of young people and adults in communities in Brazil and Cape Town (South Africa). She coordinated the Na Responsa Program (Ambev) in partnership with 30 NGOs in 4 Brazilian states. She also coordinated the Innovation in Schools Program - Khan Academy (Sincroniza Educação, and Lemann Foundation), working in the relationship of partnerships with more than 60 municipal education departments and public schools from North to South of Brazil.

Grazi Giacomo
Coordinator of the Socioenvironmental Program

Grazi began her career as a Researcher and Educator at MUZSP  - USP Zoology Museum, São Paulo. Professor and Biologist, she acted as Educational Monitor in several large exhibitions held in Brazil by the Sangari Institute, American Museum of Natural History, SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation, MUZSP and Museum of Life - Fiocruz. She was the Educational Coordinator of the Following Darwin project, a partnership between IASEA and MUZSP. More recently, she coordinated the new Education, Research and Conservation sectors of the Marine Aquarium and BioParque in Rio de Janeiro. Coordinates the Research and Conservation, Content Production, and Articulation of Partnerships Program of Grupo Cataratas. She is responsible for the content curation of the Academy of Conservation, a digital content platform aimed at the conservation of biodiversity.

Pedro Alegria
Program Supervisor

Clinical Psychologist, provides online therapeutic care for young people and people in social vulnerability due to the consequences of the pandemic. During his clinical trajectory, he realized that discovering, together with his patients, the most fluid paths for each personal existence is something life changing - especially when everyone engages in the development processes in a responsible way. During his training, he developed projects focused on social-emotional learning for young people and also for seniors, in a project with Casa Abrigo in Paraty-RJ. Pedro believes that emotions are what brings us closer to our truth and seeks to get in touch with them through meditation, photography and poems. Pedro is also proactively involved in Nature Preservation and Indigenous Communities projects.

Julia Fleischeuer

Writer, graduated in Creative Writing for Games at Vancouver Film School. Since she was little, Julia showed a self-taught interest in biology and zoology, building her study and doing her own research. At age 10, she was selected to participate in the Biodiversity project with NASA. At the age of 12, she worked as a Junior Monitor at the Following Darwin Exhibition, and at 16 she was invited to do an internship at the USP Zoology Museum - São Paulo. This experience opened the doors to a new internship, this time at the Natural History Museum in Rotterdam, as a Taxidermist and Collection & Exhibition Assistant. Feeling the urge to creatively expand her knowledge, she decided to study Creative Writing for Games, where she learned about the psychology and impact of games on young people. Julia is currently working on creating games focused on making sustainable development accessible and fun for everyone.
